Immersive and interactive performances
On March 8, 2025, the agora of UQAM's Judith-Jasmin building will be transformed into an enchanting alternative universe, inspired by exoplanetary biology. The Exotopie project is directed and produced from A to Z by the 22 members of UQAM's Bachelor of Communication in Interactif Media graduating cohort, and three (3) students from the Bachelor of Communication in Stratégie de production culturelle et médiatique, under the guidance of École des médias professors Danny Perreault and Sofian Audry.
Audiences will be immersed in a complex and strange ecosystem, where they can move freely and enjoy immersive and interactive performances. At the frontier between imagination and science, Exotopie offers a unique visual and sensory experience.
Exotopie's immersive experience will be accessible on Place Pasteur on March 6 and 7 from 6pm to 11pm. This three-phase experience will culminate in a grand evening of performances in the Judith-Jasmin Agora on March 8 from 6pm to 3am. During this evening, the audience will take part in an evolution of the stars and the weather, through dance, poetry and digital sound performances, to celebrate the meteorological phenomena that give rhythm to this ecosystem.
