Control a giant holographic hand
With a title based on a pun (At The End), At The Hand is a volumetric sculpture that encourages visitors to experience an original moment of introspection. By combining artificial intelligence and computer vision, this colossal, immersive installation offers the public the opportunity to control a giant holographic hand. This experience also encourages a reflection on the power dynamics between human beings and machines and the reciprocal control of one over the other. The work, which ironically uses technology, seeks to remind us that it is what we do with our hands every day that defines who we are…

LACROIX, is a Montreal-based installation artist who explores the intersection of technology and identity through groundbreaking holographic art. His work bridges the realms of AI, volumetric capture, and computer vision, transforming physical spaces into immersive experiences that challenge conventional perceptions of self and existence. LACROIX’s innovative approach has earned him international recognition, with his sculptures offering a reflective exploration of humanity’s evolving role in an increasingly digital world. Through his art, he invites audiences to pause and reconsider the profound impact of technology on modern life. After showcasing holographic artworks at the Museum of the Moving Image (MOMI) in New York, LACROIX unveiled the first prototype of his physical holographic sculpture at the MURAL Festival in Montreal in June 2024.
